Release notes (Mar 5-Mar 12, 2021)

Take a peek at the latest features and fixes from Dutchie!

Features: ๐Ÿ— ๐Ÿช

Viewing product pages from the customer cart (embedded menus)

Previously, a product was not clickable from a customer cart on an embedded menu. This created a frustrating shopping experience as customers were not able to navigate back to the product pages of the items in their cart.

Now, customers shopping on the embedded menu can open the cart side-view and click the product name, which takes the customer to the product page:

Ontario equivalency purchase limits ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

Previously, we used the 'flower equivalent' field from a retailer's POS to determine purchase limits for items in Ontario. However, some retailers use a POS that does not have an equivalency field, so created Ontario-specific equivalency purchase limits.

  • 1g Flower = 15g edibles = 70g liquid product = 0.25g concentrates

CA state infused pre-roll purchase limits ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ

California retailers now have infused pre-roll purchase limits, which count towards a customer's concentrate purchase limits. Now, if a customer attempts to add infused pre-rolls over their limit, the item is not added to the cart, and an Error banner will appear.

  • Recreation (8g) and Medical (No Limit)

CO state infused pre-roll purchase limits ๐Ÿ‚

Colorado retailers now have infused pre-roll purchase limits, which count towards a customer's concentrate purchase limits. Now, if a customer attempts to add infused pre-rolls over their limit, the item is not added to the cart, and an Error banner will appear.

  • Recreational (8g) and Medical (40g)

Treez potency ranges

The Treez integration will now automatically import and update product potency ranges from the point of sale to your Dutchie menu.

Fixes: ๐Ÿฅ ๐Ÿฉบ

Removed case sensitivity for category searches on your menus

Previously, when customers searched by category, the term โ€œflowerโ€ returned no search results. This was because category search was case-sensitive so only โ€œFlowerโ€ would return the correct search results.

This has now been fixed so if a customer searches for any variation of: flower, Flower, FLOwer, fLoWeR, etc. it will return all products under that category. This also applies to all categories (Vaporizers, Pre-Rolls, etc.)

Offers would show items regardless of incorrect weight condition

Previously, when a retailer created an offer with a specific weight condition, they would sometimes see ineligible items displaying within the Offer page.

(ex. Offer is for 1/8oz only, but a product with 1g displays)

With this fix, when an Offer is created with a specific weight condition, only products that have matching eligible weights will show on the Offers page.

Wrong product counts on custom carousels

Previously, custom carousels were displaying the wrong product count because archived items were being counted along with active items. We've fixed this so that the product count shown will only represent the number of active menu items in each carousel.

Embedded menus respect the page hierarchy when searching products

Previously on the embedded menu, when a user clicked into a product page and then clicked "back", they were taken back to the top of the previous page instead of being taken to their previous menu placement.

With this fix, when a customer clicks "back" from the product page, the customer is taken to their most recent page placement on the previous page.

Checkout error when using dollars-off discount coupons

Previously, if an admin user created Coupons that offered a dollar-off discount, and it did not have any restrictions (See below), this would cause an error for a customer at checkout, preventing them from using that coupon.

This has been fixed, so even if an admin applies no restrictions to the dollar-off coupon, a customer can successfully apply the coupon at checkout.

Items without brand names in Specials

Previously, a Special could be created โ€œby Brandโ€ even if that item did not have an associated Brand name (See below).

This has been fixed so that an admin user cannot add items to a Special that do not have an associated Brand name, and will not see products with a blank brand name in the dropdown.

BioTrack potency ranges for converted products

We've updated how Dutchie pulls potency data on products from your Biotrack inventory to ensure that converted products (products that have been created from a parent product, ex. making prerolls from bulk flower) will display their correct potencies.

Blaze nearby API respects open hours for delivery vehicles

When a retailer is using the Blaze Nearby API, their customers are directed to a specific truck menu based on Location.

Previously, this feature did not respect the open hours of specific delivery vehicles when directing customers to the closest delivery menu.

With this fix, we now respect vehicle location and ordering hours when determining which vehicles menu to directed customers to.
